Bolivian Colonial - Organic Fairtrade

The Coffee: Aroma’s of peanut butter, flavors of chocolate fudge and a mild birch in the finish.  Very smooth.

  • Altitude: 5600 feet
  • Varietal: 70% Criollo, 30% Caturra
  • Processing: Fully washed and sun dried
  • Harvest Season: May – October

The Cooperative: A total of 330 members make up both cooperatives, AECAR and Union Pro-Agro which are located in a valley spread around the small city of Caranavi, located 4 hours from La Paz. The small scale farms are scattered over dozens of communities throughout the surrounding mountains and hillsides.  AECAR and Union Pro-Agro were each founded on the principal creating a market for small scale farmers wile focusing on maintaining and caring for the natural environment where they live and work.
